I’ve got a good bit to share about how I use Instagram and I’ve organized it into a presentation of best practices aimed at maximizing the benefits of use, regardless of frequent updates, new features, and tweaks to the algorithm. I am not into current trends or recommendations for exactly what and how much to post. Google that circus if you want it. Trends are not a substitute for consistent quality.

By quality I mean not only what you are putting out but also what you are taking in. To my thinking, they are mutually exclusive: you won’t stick around to share quality content if you’re not also “receiving” it. With all its flaws, I still believe Instagram used well is an artist’s best marketing tool that can also contribute substantially to our growth and development.

I’m gathering folks to save myself from so many individual conversations.
